ms. cushman: how did you address the question of whether the separate women's institute for leadership, that was created at mary baldwin college, how did you deal with that being a sufficient remedy in light of the fact that school had fewer resources, not as good facilities is emi. no signs, no engineering. at the time, it didn't even seem close to being equal. a couple judges on the circuit wrote to sense that clearly were skeptical. that would be a fool to vmi. the holding was that there were substantial comparability between vmi. but, how did you address that in your oral argument, the question of whether it was a sufficient remedy? mr. olson: the oral argument was quite a bit of back-and-forth. very hard to get long sentences -- long sentences out. vmi had been around for a number of years, it has strong alumni association, and it was an established institution. the virginia women's institute for leadership was new. it was going to take time for the institution, to develop in the same way that vmi had developed over the year. the curriculum was designed by educators who said this is the right curriculum and right
