ms. cain, you're working now as a peer-to-peer counselor in our center. talk to us about, what was your initial experience with trauma? well, all of my life i've been traumatized. i grew up in a household where i was sexually abused by men in the community that used to visit my mother. and i think i really vivid, a lot of the flashbacks at age 9, i'm pretty sure, probably happened earlier, but a lot of that comes from age 9 is when i realized that, oh my goodness this is not how it's supposed to be, and i started drinking as a result because i couldn't cope with it. at that early age? at age 9, i drank every day. at age 9 because it helped me to numb out what was going on in my life. so, after being in a household of sexual, verbal, and physical abuse, i ended up in foster care and then put into with, placed with a family member, only for my mother to come back to get me and to be exposed to even more trauma, married at a very young age who my husband beat me and verbally, physically, horrible, horrible abuser. and so the cycle just continued, and at arou

. >> cain's latest accuser worked at the restaurant group's education foundation until shortly before the alleged incident occurred. ms. bialek says she met cain that night for help finding a new job. the cain campaign denies her story altogether. abc news has nod independently confirmed bialek's account. she says she never filed a claim against cain because she didn't work at the restaurant association at the time adding that she decided to speak yesterday in solidarity with the other women who accused mr. cain of harassment. >> i'm coming forward to give a face and a voice to those women who cannot or for whatever reasons do not wish to come forward, and on behalf of all women who are sexually harassed in the work places but do not come out of fear of retaliation or public humiliation. i want you, mr. cain, to come clean, just admit what you did, admit you were inappropriate to people. >> following that press conference, bialek's credibility has come under fire as you might expect with several newspapers pointing out the chicago woman has an extensive legal record and filed for bankruptcy twice. the cain campaign ac

cain. believe it or not, the candidate then called back from that number, acknowledging he knew ms. white but said he was only trying to help her financially. earlier in the day, mr. cain tried to get out in front of ms. white's accusations. he was on the air with wolf blitzer on cnn just minutes before the atlanta station played the interview with his accuser. >> tell us about the nature of your relationship with this woman. >> friend and trying to help a friend because not having a job, this sort of thing. that's all there is to the relationship. and here again, i don't know what's going to be claimed in the story. there was someone who was supposed to be a friend, but obviously, they didn't see it as a friendship. >> when you say friend -- i mean, i'm asking awkward questions, but i'll ask you the questions you're going to be asked. was this an affair? >> no, it was not. >> there was no sex? >> no. >> none? >> no. >> and if this woman says so, she's lying? >> let's see what the story's going to be. i don't want to get into being pinned down on some things until we see what the sto

cain answering the charges. tomorrow morning, we'll be talking about that press conference and karen kraushaar. it was one thing if ms. bialek was the only person coming forward, the only person to tell her story. now that there are two women, two of five, who have come forward to tell their story, herman cain, it is imperative that he come forward and lay out the facts. tell the truth. right now, i don't see -- excuse me, how his support within the republican party holds up and i don't see how other republican candidates for president hold back from calling on him to, you know, come clean. >> well, they are going to have an opportunity tomorrow night at the cnbc debate. but let me ask, there was a couple of things that kind of like was a little awkward to me. when he said that the democratic machine was after him. yet he said we have no evidence of this at all. like if somebody else said it, he was refuting what he said. and he said he absolutely or clearly would take a lie detector test if he was given good reason it would almost seem to me that he was like very awkward. almost uncomfortable in some of his answers.

cain? >> if these allegations by ms. white are try, then it goes to the issue of the character and the honesty of herman cain. i have to ask how many more skeletons are there in his closet? and what happens if more come out? when is herman cain going to come clean with the american public? he's now accused a total of five women of being liars. and ms. white is just the latest that he's accused of lying. i think that the american people are going to be able to make a judgment if they have not already done so. >> there are some details about ginger white that have emerged tonight. she filed a sexual harassment claim against an employer in 2001 that was settled. she has a history of financial problems. she's been evicted from apartments and filed for bankruptcy. does any of this matter, gloria? i mean, is it really credible that a woman would make a charge of a 13-year affair if there was simply no truth at all to it? >> apparently she has quite a bit of corroboration in the form of at least numerous texts, perhaps e-mails,
