ms. jackson said its on bayshore boulevard. the building open the site as constructed as a safe way grocery stores and included an asphalt parking lot. it's with the retailer company. prior to this site it was used by safe way including big lots. grocery outlet seeks this retail space and therefore they require a land use in order to open for business on this site. they will be providing 50 off street parking spaces. although those spaces currently exist in the asphalt lot the determination it was required for the most recent opulent i occupant hadn't used those. the groceries is a third generation owned business established in 1946. they're known for providing low-cost option forces their customers they have fresh vegetation and meat and other items. they want to return the site to a whole service grocery stores. here's an image of the site. it's design is a product of the time and function. it's straightforward but it includes some mutual landscaping and some fencing which they will keep. the parking lot is a plan asphalt lot

ms. jackson lee: mr. speaker, we are here on a saturday, and we are probably in the, i don't believe it crowd, not because we are here on a saturday, because the people's business must be done. i hope that the backdrop of the u.n. resolution that dealt with 15 countries that stood together to bind themselves against syria's holding of chemical weapons, may be an example for the coming together of this body , something historic happened because people listened to each other. and i would hope that as we move towards some mode of peace, as we work to reconcile the terrible violence in syria, the killing of syrians, but first by ensuring that those chemical weapons do no harm to anyone in this world, the republicans can listen and understand that it is always the other person's interest that should be promoted and put first, and that is to say that this nation must fund itself and we must pay our bills. a good lesson for once from the u.n. we all would do well to understand we can work together. i yield back.

ms. jackson lee: thank you very much, madam speaker. it gives me great opportunity to se today to absolute and praise dr. thomas f. freeman. educator, scholar and legendary coach and teacher of the art of debate at the historic texas university, supporting the historic texas southern university debate team. for those of you who have not heard of that team, i ask you to look closely at the number of awards that it has received because of this great educator. he comes from a great family, with a great wife, who is also an educator. today i rise to salute him as a first-ranked scholar. but a person of great eloquence and talent and oration. someone who was inspirational to the rev rands dr. martin luther king and the honorable late congressman barbara jordan, my predecessor. a prodigy himself, dr. freeman grad from virginia university at 18 and went on to become a professor at virginia union before his 30th birthday. he would later receive degrees from andover school, harvard university, chicago divinity, the university of vienna-austria.
