ms. jackson lee, for five minutes. ms. jackson lee: thank you, mr. speaker. as i address the house and ask unanimous consent to address the house. the speaker pro tempore: without objection. ms. jackson lee: to discuss a number of concerns that i believe we have need to confront as quickly as possible. yesterday and today commemorates sadly, the snatching of over 200 girls from northern nigeria. the area where the girls lost their incense and their right to a quality -- good quality of life was in the dark of night when heinous thugs armed with horrific weapons burst into dorm rooms of sleeping girls preparing to take exams to improve their lives. their parents had worked hard. they were like any other parent here in the united states or around the world loving their children. and these evenous thugs with their vial -- heinous thugs with their vial leader, boko haram, stole them, stole their incense in a certain sent their virginity and now we are struggling to find them. over a year many of us pressed the nigerian government to find and bring back the girls.
