ms. medina has garnered a well earned reputation for serving the latino community. she served on the board of the san francisco foundation, the latino community foundation, and on the commonwealth club of california. she has also served on the national association of broadcasters and the national academy of television arts and sciences among the many others. she studied philosophy and literature in connecticut and holds a-degree of communications from new york city. she couldn't be here this evening, but the c.e.o. of the san francisco hispanic chamber of commerce will accept the award on her behalf.
