ms. parton can give the presentation. >> thank you very much.d afternoon, chairman and committee members. thank you for your leadership on green building, and for your diplomacy at the sunday streets. chairperson mar: you were very good. >> you are very generous. thank you for the opportunity to speak on behalf of the mayor on this item. the ordinance before you will update the municipal green building code to require leed gold certification for major municipal projects over 5,000 feet. currently, only silver is required. we currently require gold for all commercial projects. this would update the code to require the same things for our municipal projects as well. this ordinance will continue to secure san francisco's leadership and the good work and we are doing to reduce our carbon footprint and foster the green economy. the mayor is very supportive. he introduced this ordinance. he is very supportive of this. we hope you will be supported as well. a couple of statistics. there have been about 10 years of work done to update our green building
