ms. rogers here to give you an update. first, as we discussed president chiu legislation for the illegal units was heard by the land use this week and it was credit card at the hearing it was recommended approval by a vote of 6 to one president chiu incorporated all our recommendations the recommendation that will allow up to 2 unit with 10 or more unit was not included in the revised amendment. unlike our hearing the committee on land use was lengthy in favor as well as opposition. most the critical comments came from the neighborhood like twin peaks they focused on the cost of legal listing the unit maybe passed into the tenant and allow the unit to be used administratively could cause insuring the applicants names and addresses as well as protecting private agreements. the committee adapted some amendments at the hearing on monday that clarified the private information will be protected and another amendment was added to establish that the ordinance will not supercede the homeowners association agreements supervisor kim

ms. rogers and i have a bill that would hopefully provide more opportunity to train physicians. as you know, folks tend to practice where they train. rural andespecially underserved areas, this is huge. the administration has a targeted support program. i am just interested in what sort of assurance we will have that they will provide training outside of hospitals and in a community-based setting. tot is the certainty going be in this program? you know residency programs take a long time and i want to make sure that the program is in place so that folks have a certainty. secondly, on the administrative law judge appeals funding, the administration has put $100 million in new for medicare hearings and appeals. i know that is a little more than what was in their last year, but i question whether or not it is enough. what are you going to do until the proper funding level is reached to make sure that our constituents do not get hung up in this void? >> congressman, the training be consistent with workforce goals, which include targeting more physicians to primary care and understaf

ms. loyd who is here. do you have an opening statement? >> thank you, mr. chairman. chairman rogers, ranking member moran, welcome administrator mccarthy. it is pleasure to welcome you to the first meeting. to be blunt the fy '15 request of $7.89 billion is unacceptable at $310 million below current levels. last year i voiced concern that americans don't see the importance of the epa's work in their every day lives. despite existing environmental programs, the epa's successes in improving the environment with the passage of the clean water act amendments of 1990s and the laws of the 1980s establish the super fund program address the most aagraze grnlgs threats to our well-being. my colleagues and friends, although we may have disagreements, they don't value your purpose. the house votes on a bill to roll back the epa's ability every week to pull back and democrats opposing them overwhelming and republicans supporting them overwhelming. this budget request seems to indicate that epa doesn't fully value the importance of it's -- its -- own work in the lives of millions. i am concerned

roger hillsman. he lost the battle for what the war in vietnam was about. he lost his job and i lost my job. for a while, i was very happy. ms. krass, i want to take this up a bit. the committee report that we adopted a year or so ago was not only historic, but it was the single largest, most significant oversight effort in the history of our committee. it took nine years. to do that. 11,000 pages, close to 50,000 footnotes. you cannot argue with footnotes. you cannot argue with footnotes. 6000 plus 5000, 11,000 total. i started working on this committee just before 9/11. when i began to doubt the accuracy of the information that the cia provided me and former chairman pat roberts about this program. we want this report -- i say this with all my heart -- to provide a constructive oversight that has a positive impact on the cia's operation and relationship with this committee, which we have to correct. i expect and hope that the agency's leadership is trying to steer a slightly different course from the approach in that news article today. i see that possibility clearly. that is not the best path to take, which was put out in
