ms. tavenner as she takes thes. if she is to be successful, she'll have to raoeldz -- realize she can't do it alone. she'll have to work with members of congress of both parties. i hope she will do so. i believe she will. thus far i have reason to believe that she will be one of the best leaders we can possibly have in the government. however, if under her leadership c.m.s. continues what has become a disappointing pattern in this administration, not responding to legitimate congressional inquiries and throwing promises of transparency by the wayside, i will use my full weight as my position as the ranking member on the senate finance committee to hold her and others fully accountable. i don't think i'm going to have to do that. i actually think she's that good. mr. president, i appreciate ms. tavenner's willingness to serve in this difficult position. and while i still have many concerns about the policies ofte direction c.m.s. is heading, i plan to vote in favor of her confirmation because she has the ability and
