ms. williams, please. >> [inaudible] supervisor cohen: ms. williams, your turn. >> good afternoon. four years ago, i went to the bayview child health center to interview for a job. i am an american family therapist, and i went there to interview for a job of case manager. not knowing whether i would be hired or not, i was so impressed by the work that was it described in what they were doing. i was hired. i spent almost 17 years working with the city and county of the san francisco human service agency as a child welfare worker and then a supervisor. what i became aware of when i went to the bayview clinic to work is we are all serving the same children. what that clinic was doing for the children in that area was phenomenal. in that they were addressing issues that are not addressed in most most pediatric clinics. most pediatric clinics would not have mental health or any of those services that have been described to you. i agree with what ms. albright and the doctor were saying to you. the building that we are talking about is the same building where so turner truth -- so turner

ms. williams, as to what she did as well. i would like to add to this list just great san franciscans who, i want to personally thank you on behalf of the city. if you would like to say a word or clarify what happened, leo, onwar, justin -- please, share with us. i know your families and friends are here as well. i know you really sure this precious moment in our city where we can recognize people who are very selfless and bring up the best values that we have as human beings. please -- >> well, it was said that the person whose life we helped to save was allegedly drunk, so do not drink and drive. [laughter] but we do not know that. it is an interesting feeling. it does not feel like you're doing anything extraordinary when you are doing it. then all this fuss comes in. i guess if you find yourself in a situation like this, do not think, just do it. ms. williams. your son is ill. has had some brain aneurysms.nd were praying for some guidance when you saw mitt romney's bus. what happened? >> well, we've had a hard -- hi, good morning. it's been a very hard year. my son had three brain aneurysms. he was in a coma like six months. and we had lost our house in foreclosure, and we didn't have anywhere to live. and the other day, we needed our light bill and our rent paid. and i was going to a church called bible way. and i saw mitt romney's bus on the highway. and the lord told me to get off the exit. so me and the bus driver started saying, go romney, go romney. and god told me to follow the bus. and i followed the bus to the airport. and when i followed the bus to the airport, it just allowed me to -- i talked to the bus driver, and he told me to come to mitt romney and explain my problem, and maybe i could find some work or a way out. and his aide, john, told me to be there too. so i came, and i brought my grandkids, and they were very kind to me. and during that time when i spoke to him, an

ms. eason's husband, william, is a former marine -- also a former boxer. so don't mess with him.epeat, 10 years ago they were approached by a broker who offered them a loan to make needed repairs on their home; made everything sound easy. the easons agreed. broker ended up disappearing. they get left with $80,000 in debt, almost lose their home. they didn't lose it because of the intervention of some terrific non-for-profits that richard, when he was treasurer here in ohio, helped to support. [applause] east side -- that's right. now, the easons are good people. they're what america is all about. they worked hard. they served their country. they saved their money. they didn't live high on the hog. it's a modest house. they earned the right to retire with dignity and with respect, and they shouldn't have to worry about being tricked by somebody who's out to make a quick buck. and they need somebody who is going to stand up for them, and millions of americans need somebody who is going to look out for their interests. and that person is richard cordray.
