mt. washington. we're in the teens below zero farther west through the monadnock region. not much of a wind chill. that certainly helps as you walk out the door. you can warm up the car as well. temperatures running anywhere between five degrees above where we were. i don't want to say warmer than yesterday. from there, we're going to look for temperatures to continue to moderate. by the time we get to tomorrow afternoon, highs in the 40's to up near 50. today we'll settle for temperatures in the teens to mid 20's. which is only about five or ten degrees colder light winds and sunshine, that feels pretty good. here come the clouds ahead of the next storm system. there might be a couple of flurries late in the day. i think the evening commute in most locations away from southern new hampshire goes off without a hitch. any sort of flakes that we see flying shouldn't affect the evening commute. it starts to kick in and navigates northward. there may be a little bit of a break toward morning and maybe in time. you could notice the temperatures by early tomorrow morning. 30's

mt. washington observatory yesterday. temperaturewise 35 below zero. you throw out boil boiling water. take a look. it turns to instant snow. a really neat thing to do because it was so cold and it still is so cold across our area. in fact it's the coldest it's been in years. we haven't been this low in worcester and boston since 1957. and worcester's new record just got even a degree cooler. 16 below zero. boston nine below zero. 14 below zero so far in orange. it's mot just the air temperature outside. you also have to factor in those winds. they're anywhere really from 15 to about 20 miles an hour sustained in worcester. that wind out of the north and west is is creating a bit of a wind chill. a bit of a wind chill. actually a lot of wind chill. it feels more like 33 ble zero in boston and about 41 below zero in worcester so it is a cold start, folks. if you don't have to be outside, don't do it. i do want to say though please be careful and think of your furry friends too. people have been tweeting about this on twitter. the dogs you don't want to have well. as we go through the da
