mt. washington auto road stopped. and the state sent out a request that all grooming across the state be stopped. >> we received notice from the bureau of trails that they weren't going to reimburse us for grooming. we had to cease all of the operations. erin: they are having a ripple effect taking a cut out of businesses, restaurants, rental properties, and those who work on snowmobiles as well. it would be great to get more snow so people can hit the trails with a lot of great conditions. kevin: it would be nice over some point at the first half of the winter if you had the one up. even if you start to melt a little bit of it, it is there. we haven't had that consistent one big thump of snow. and there are some systems on the maps. first couple of those look fairly weak. some promise. the lack of it needs to be just so. a lot of the maps aren't hinting at that. we have the clear skies and light winds this morning. temperatures have drifted back in to the single digits and teens earlier this morning. a few spots belo

mt. washington. we're in the teens below zero farther west through the monadnock region. not much of a wind chill. that certainly helps as you walk out the door. you can warm up the car as well. temperatures running anywhere between five degrees above where we were. i don't want to say warmer than yesterday. from there, we're going to look for temperatures to continue to moderate. by the time we get to tomorrow afternoon, highs in the 40's to up near 50. today we'll settle for temperatures in the teens to mid 20's. which is only about five or ten degrees colder light winds and sunshine, that feels pretty good. here come the clouds ahead of the next storm system. there might be a couple of flurries late in the day. i think the evening commute in most locations away from southern new hampshire goes off without a hitch. any sort of flakes that we see flying shouldn't affect the evening commute. it starts to kick in and navigates northward. there may be a little bit of a break toward morning and maybe in time. you could notice the temperatures by early tomorrow morning. 30's

mt. washington checking in at 27 below zero. worcester at 15 below zero. the reason i point this out is because we set new records this morning. in fact, we broke the record set back in 1934 in boston and the one in worcester set back in 1979. we should be and r running around 25 degrees to start out the day. we are well below that. in fact, we haven't seen this type of cold since 1957. it's not just the cold. you have to take into account the wind. and the wind is sustained anywhere from about 15 to 24 miles an hour now in worcester. 21-mile-per-hour winds in boston. those strong winds out of the north and west are creating a wind chill that is dangerously cold. wind chill values now feeling more like 34 below zero in boston. feeling more like 44 below zero in worcester. of course that's going to continue at least through the morning hours. it should let up a little bit once we get towards the afternoon. but by 9:00 here, still feels like 25 below zero in boston and about 32 below zero in worcester. zero everywhere although air temperaturewise we should r

mt. washington, you can see the ohio river. you can tell from the visibility, you can notice that as a gets a little bit dimmer the farther away you are. you can tell the intensity of the snow. post of it is on the light side. occasionally there is a moderate batches out there. as flurries and snow showers continue to push and from central and south is indiana. generally across the good part of ohio. kentucky. notice there is some areas of to show up. especially across northeastern parts of hamilton county. anywhere from downtown through clermont county, mason, westchester. there is a more concentrated area of snow. county. but it is moving in waves across the area. it will continue to do this across dinnertime. they will subside after sunset. by midnight, for most of us the snow will have tapered off by them. but because of the flurries and snow showers there are still coming down, and addition to the snow that we had overnight, last night we keep the winter weather advisory in effect. the big snows are done across the area. s
