went back to the mta board with a amendment and the mta board approved the third party aspect of the pilot in april of 2022. since that time, the mta has been working with the taxi industry and key stakeholders to develop the program rules and those program rules were issued in early august: applications for the taxi apps to participate in the pilot were due mid-september and mta received three applications. one from arrow, one from fly wheel and one from yo taxi. currently mta is in the process of reviewing those applications. to highlight key goals which i think we are on the same page of the goals is increase taxi trips, increase the fare income for drivers, we want to increase the number of drivers. we want to improve customer service and offer a customers this additional type of functionality and ability to price shop. we also want to insure that traditional taxi trips including paratransit taxi are not negatively impacted by the pilot. i'll highlight a few of the key rules, which we developed based on input from the taxi industry. one thing we heard and we are hearing today mos

mta lunched the taxi marking campaign. after first engaging with the taxi strep and testing marketing messages. wed with p.m. lajohnson on the team who helped shape this campaign. the campaign focused on taxis of small local businesses and adds run on car cards you might have seen them on your travels in the muni system. there is also digital advertising and other on line ads. we also very person to know, we recently installed 2 taxi stand in golden gate p this it is a huge deal for us and worked with rec and park staff to add those taxi stands one in fronts of the california academy of sciences and one in front of the deyoung museum and as i was talking to my colleagues before coming up here mentioned we added taxi stands by the ferry belling. you approved a component of this pilot program. the pilot program, lus texty custody norse get a fair quote in advance of the tripful and become approximate pay for it in advanced. this is exciting and common in other modes. having this in a taxi context is person to allow the taxi
