the mta board three options. was the service cuts. the second was to tap into the agency reserve and the third was a whole series of non-service cuts that we could look at kind of ranging from relatively not controversial like reducing our joint spending on station maintenance with bart where they actually don't think they're going to be able to do quite as much maintenance as we had budgeted for to very controversial like eliminate the city's crossing guard program at that meeting the board gave us some initial direction and the first is that they did not want to see us cut the crossings program but they did recognize that this is a program that initially was built with the expectation that we would have about $500,000 of support from the school district which has been reduced to about $75,000 over time. so we are looking for creative funding sources for that program and they also asked us to bring them to refine the options which we actually are going to be bringing to them on march 18th. the slide says march 4

some people don't do that but i started with the mta of september of 1999 and came over to cable car was a general sign up and that's when you can go to different divisions and i signed up as a conductor and came over here and been here since. there were a few ladies that were over at woods that wanted to come over here and we had decided we wanted to leave woods and come to a different division and cable car was it. i do know there has been only four women that work the cable car in the 150 years and i am the second person to represent the cable car and i also know that during the 19, i think 60s and women were not even allowed to ride on the side of a cable car so it's exciting to know you can go from not riding on the side board of a cable car to actually grip and driving the cable car and it opened the door for a lot of people to have the opportunity to do what they inspire to do. >> i have some people say i wouldn't make it as a conductor at woods and i came and made it as i conductor and the best thing i did was to come to this division. it's a good division. and i like ripping
