so, i want to point to the mta board obviously i am on the board to help the agency promote access ink that they do. also, to help ensure that we are transparent or public and and i'm here to engage and hear your concerns and we really want to make sure that all of the operations made here is public as they can be. from an access standpoint, people will think about access on muni but i want to make sure that our streets and shared spaces and as we think of creating uses for the public right-of-way, i want to make sure those programs are as accessible as possible and it gets into some of the priorities that are on the mta and most of you snow and agency is for the muni service at the time so really think about when we can assuming, at some point, we can ratchet up our service and increase the number of lines and the board is going to have to think about how we, and the agency in general, has to think about how we prioritize that so being making sure it's done equitably. a couple of factors that will go into other where we can restore lives is when the number of our vehicles capacity ca

in particularly we look at the court commission, sf mta board of directors as well as the sfp publicties commission and the dtpa and what we want to highlight some of the findings based on that comparison, it's that we found none of the commissions reported having their commissioners being involved in the solicitation process with theevaluation process . we also found in terms of the approval authority that all commissions to have responsibility to contract and in terms of writtenpolicy , we found that the airport does have written policy in this prohibition. in terms of the statement of incompatible activity or sia prohibition we all found that all of the surveyed entities had this except for the key jpa which was technically not of city affiliatedentity . and that in terms of rfp instructions to potential bidders that all actually did have instructions intheir rfp regarding their communication . one thing to note is that none of the departmental sia's that we reviewed included any prohibition related to communication with potential bidders .it mostly focused on actual bidders but n

. >> i just want to be clear to the board one way or the other, the mta would be responsible for paying these costs. we need to put together a reasonable funding plan in order to make these payments hopefully quickly and get them off the table and then essentially start from a clean slate going forward with regard to both our operating and our capital costs. so, the first thing thing we did go through a process of revenue bond refinancing and the proposal would be to use those dollars to cover these costs and they're immediately available. we were very successful as we reported to the board about two weeks ago in completing that process. we did shift $30 million in proposition b to the operating budget as part of an ongoing plan to shift capital resources to operating. we have the ability to flex that back in the currents fiscal year so again using one-time capital funds for a one-time need. the next is to use our operating budget, our regular operating budget and our regular enterer prize revenues. this is an estimate that we do believe that the federal relief associated with covering

during my short almost seven months on the mta board, there's been many topics i've had to advocate thatect impact on our community including the adoption of the racial equity plan, vision zero budget, other areas i have consistently asserted attention to is on improving and increasing language access for our community as well as contract management. these topics may not seem exciting but to me are emblemattic around the agency's accountability that i continue to pursue. i am also pleased to join the policy and governance committee. i very much enjoyed applying my urban background with my work on mta which has helped me jump into technical issues and building relationships with the community staff and my diverse set of colleagues. i wanted to take a moment to address supervisor chan's question around the re-opening and essentially my guiding principles in helping to support staff's work. i think as i mentioned already, i will certainly be leading, continuing to lead with my various hats on as an urban planner, as a mother of young children struggling to get them to school and myself back
