murthy. just for a second you and i are going to be doctors once more in a literature kind of review session, okay? there is an article that just came out, literature review and meta analysis on the effects of lockdowns on covid-19 mortality. studies and applied economics coming out of johns hopkins. prestigious institution, prestigious, well accomplished authors doing a meta analysis of i think 16 different studies. in fairness it's not peer reviewed, but it's pretty good. a couple of things. they spoke about nonpharmaceutical interventions. they use it to describe any government mandate which directly restricts people's possibilities, not including information campaigns, mass testing, social distancing, but including closing schools or businesses, mandated face masks, et cetera. so pretty broad. now, they found no statistical correlation -- in fact let me read the second paragraph of their -- what this meta analysis concludes that lockdowns have had little to no public health effects. they
