( darya ) state officials are testing a new warning system at the oroville dam. the new siren was installed to replace the old one which was lost in february as water flowed down the emergency spillway. engineers are also working to find out why the spillway failed, forcing the evacuation of nearly 200- thousand people. so far they have identified 24 possible areas that could have contributed to the damage. many people who evacuated their homes say they are more prepared if the dam fails again.
