five years into my s.r.o. there was a program called brilliant corners. they came and gave out vouchers to people who are willing and ready to move out of the tenderloin and i had two weeks left and i fought hard and found me a one-bedroom and i got out of the tenderloin. but i still come to the tenderloin because this is an ish yaoufm i know a lot of people here. i always want to do anything that i can to disclose support and help the people in the community. so i continued. i'm still with my guy. we're getting married this year. and -- [applause] thank you. and also i want to say that i was able to get a really good job through help rights 360th called maps and it's mentor and peer support. they give you a job and they give you schooling for that. so i was able to do that. and now i teach groups in jail. i teach groups to the men in san bruno on domestic violence. i teach groups to the deputies about crisis intervention training. i go out and volunteer. i do anything and everything that i can to support anyone. we work in all the collaborative court. no

my name is amy. and i am the coordinator of the s.r.o. united collaborative.and in chinatown alone we have 400 families who live there and have to (indiscernible) other people. many of these families are low-income immigrants. it is really difficult for them to move out since the rental units are too expensive and affordable housing supply is limited. and it requires a high income requirement. my turf was 5th and 6th streets, between mission and brannen. all of those s.r.o. hotels. was also quite eye-opening. i am retired. [bell ringing] i was a small business owner. and i care deeply about a.c.c. and i care deeply about animals. this is a certificate. i took a course from the humane society of silicon valley. i'm getting -- i gave some of these to victor. i also wrote -- let's see. i used to write articles. this is an article from 2006 "the woofer times." it's about auxiliary group raises funds for a.c.c. dog park. and i also wrote -- oh, mood -- my goodness. let me just get this one more thing and i'll get out of your way. i also wrote an article for abatement woof and this is from 2007. march of 2007, walking shelter dogs is a labor of love. so it's about -- to encourage volunteerism. so that's -- yeah, pretty much it. you know, i really -- i still volunteer at the shelter. i go in on thursday mornings. you can find me there between 8:30 and noon. and i volunteer on sundays as well, between around 9:00 and 1:00. >> supervisor ronen: wonderful. thank you. >> t
