i have 75 in myakka city. bartow at 75. it's 76 in arcadia. as we look at what it feels like outside, in some locations it feels much warmer than the current temperature. we have light and variae off a soupy gulf water. it feels like 87 in tampa, 81 in st. pete. radar is nice and quiet. no spotty showers to show you unless we go outside the viewing area. we have a few tiny shower that don't make it near the coast. may see a couple more pop up late morning and midday. high pressure in control and drier air aloft. abundant sunshine this morning, but clouds bubble by midday. look at the rain chances. behind a front to a better rain chance and storms pushing west. today and tomorrow they meander inland. here's lunchtime, and there's the sea breeze. spotty storms and why they may be heavy by 6:00. they are broken in nature inland. by sunset they're done. back to school for sarasota county looks good. weather-wise at the bus stop, drier air overhead. very, very lighted storm coverage favoring the areas late in the day. fiona wi 45-mile-per-hour wind

myakka city at 73 and this is comfy. 73 to 75 degrees in all of polk county, hardee, de soto and highlands county. it's a great start. going to be a stormy finish. now, what will happen is southeasterly winds will start the day. the lower 90s and then the sea breezes are going to start. they'll meet at five, give or take a half an hour, sometime in that time frame. then all of a sudden, the storms are just going to boom, pop like they did yesterday and then drift back toward the coast. so if you're at the coast, it will be toward the evening as the sun is going down and the storms come in, they'll be coming from the east. if you live along o boy, things are rocking and rolling there last night. same thing might happen again today, too. overall rain chances are going to run 40% along the coast, 50% inland. high temperatures, though, pretty close to normal, about 91 degrees. it felt really hot yesterday because it had been almost a week since we'd had heat like that. partly cloudy and steamy, low 78 degrees. tomorrow, same thing. stormy so the friday evening commute can be a nightmare in gen

wauchula to myakka city down to arcadia, moderate to heavy rain, frequent lightning. it's going to last awhile longer. it's heading up to bowling green. it's down u.s. 17 moving into arcadia. that one cell that was over the bay looks like it's weakening a li little wit bit. it's over safety harbor. that cell is moving west northwest and weakening and the storms up by land o' lakes are weakening too. if you are watching us in dade city, thunderstorms are around you and there's one over the green swamp that kind of scooting northeast or w if you are watching us in ridge manor that rain is heading your way. elsewhere a little shower along the citrus marion county line. that is scooting north. that's really about it. a couple of more storms in highlands county. we'll stay with a classic weather pattern this weekend. you know what that means. sunshine early. storms late. as we talked on the news set, the situation in louisiana is awful. this is the same low that weekend. it's stuck. has nowhere to go. and more flooding is likely from louisiana into mississippi this weekend
