fox6's myra sanchick is live at this complex case stems back to may 20-14 when two twelve year old girls allegedly stabbed their friend 19 times -- to please the internet horror character slenderman. and the girls are growing up in jail and a mental health facility as the case moves through the courts. morgan geyser appeared in waukesha county court anissa weier county secure detention facility through video conference. both have been examined by psychiatrists. the mental health reports entered into court, but sealed from the public. geyser previously has been diagnosed with early onset schizophrenia and is pleading not guilty by reason of mental illness. weier's attorney's say she too has mental health concerns. both girls allegedly stabbed a sixth grade classmate 19 times back in may of 2014. they told police they did it for the fictional internet character slenderman. it's hard to grasp road and to watch her getting taller and growing up and talking about her schoolwork things like that and thinking about what the court process is attorneys are asking the judge to throw out the video

myra sanchick is live in dodge county tonight-- with a warning from the sheriff.... this small town of reeseville is home to numerous hunters. i'm told the milwaukee father and son had a place here, they used for land and farmland in the reeseville area. it's a popular location for locals to hunt. the dodge county sheriff says a father and son were in the area hunting but did not return to milwaukee after the weekend. monday night deputies went to their cabin. they broke the windows to get in after spotting a man lying on the floor. when they got in another man was found not far away. the 46 year old milwaukee man was dead. his rushed to a hospital. the sheriff says there were no signs of foul play. and they are investigating the possibility of carbon monoxide poisoning. there was a furnace there. the furnace may have been malfunctioning.carbon monoxide most know is an odorless tasteless gas that you really don't notice the effects until it's too late. it seems to fit the circumstances with another week of hunting ahead, the sheriff says there

but let's start with myra sanchick -- with what this ruling means. judicial orders. appeals. new rulings. today it all boiled down to brendan dassey staying behind bars. after serving 11 years of a life sentence for the 2005 rape and murder of teresa halbach-- along with his uncle steven avery-- a federal judge overturned dassey's conviction in august.. saying investigators coerced a confession from dassey. dassey be freed this week.. while the state appeals the earlier ruling. dassey's family, including steven avery was excited. avery asked this letter be shared, thanking his supporters and talking optimistically about his own freedom. he writes "when i get out it i want to see all my supports and all the beautiful women and i only want to be happy"... according to tmz, these are county home. then state attorney general brad schimmel filed an emergency motion, arguing that setting dassey free would jeopardize the state's appeal.... and public safety. the seventh district court of appeals made a short ruling: the emergency motion to stay brendan dassey's release was granted.

live in waukesha myra sanchick fox6 news the owner of the car -- that police say hit and killed a five-year-old girl on sunday-- has been charged. lasheba crowder is accused of lying to police-- saying her s-u-v that killed rick-kyia langham, was stolen. prosecutors say: she reported it stolen after the crash but later admitted she lied. her boyfriend is believed to be the person driving in the hit-and-run. he has been arrested, but charges are still pending against him. the driver accused of hitting and killing a pedestrian near 60th and norwich on monday. prosecutors say 27-year-old "ruben tovar" was driving on a suspended license at the time of the crash. according to the criminal complaint -- he admitted he was on his phone a block or two away from the crash. moments later -- he says he had a sneezing fit -- and that's when he hit 50-year-old "shelly jarvey." tovar stayed on scene and called 9- 1-1 after the crash. a much calmer scene on the streets of downtown milwaukee the streets to protest against president-elect donald trump. the large group marched around downtown -- blocking traffic
