escalated to a 5 alarm with 90 oakland fire personnel working. 25 to 30 people were evacuated off of myrtle street as a precaution. large embers were seen high in the air. there was a threat of exposure to other nearby buildings. one building at 800 block of isabel caught fire. crews were able to put it out quickly. fire crews have it contained to just the construction site. two buildings are still burning and those are the two that are furthest along in their completion. crews are doing a dispensing firefight operation, meaning that the firefighters are outside of the building and the letter pipes are up. >> we got a better idea of visually seeing the extent of damage and where we need to focus resources. right now we are working off of the infrared cameras and the unmanned aerial surveillance that we are seeing and what we can see through the smoke. the smoke is the biggest challenge. daylight will give us a new vision of what we are contending with. >>> we are told that before 4 am, it was brought back down to a four alarm fighter. -- fire. >> reporter: firefighters will not attempt to g
