>>reporter: 55-year-old nancy garrido tried to fight back tears as she admitted to kidnapping and aiding and abetting in the rape of j.c. dugard. at one point the bailiff handed her tissue so she could wipe away tears while in handcuffs. she faces 36 years to life in prison with remote chance she could be paroled after 31 years. >> from the get go she said just dot best you can because i don't want to put j.c. pl and the kids through an actual trial. >>reporter: her husband, 60-year-old philip faces 4 31 years to life after pleading guilty to 14 counts ofapping, rs with a child. the previously convicted sex offender won't get out of prison. in a statement dugard now 30 years old said i'm relieved that philip and nancy garrido have finally acknowledged their guilt and confess to their crimes against me and my famil family. dugard only 11 years old back in june of 1991 when she was snatched off the street of the south lake tahoe neighborhood and kept her prisoner in their back yard in antioch for nearly 2 decades before rescued in 2009. philip fathered her 2 daughters during the captivity.
