it's just the right thing to do. >>> back with my guest, nancy grace. o the break, very emotional hear you can talk about your fiance' that was killed and talking about the fact that you rebuilt your life, got married and had children the way you thought, at one stage, never thought you could do. you've had all this attention and you've had all this success and you are so high profile and you get criticized and praised in equal measure. when you get criticized what do you think is the biggest misconception about you? >> oh with piers, you've been through this, i'm sure. all the criticism and all of the praise, it doesn't -- it's not worth the salt that goes on my bread because tv is fickle. you can be loved one day and hated the next day. one day you're getting an award and the next day you're getting a death threat. so what does it all mean? it doesn't mean anything. what matters to me is that i try to do the right thing on air and off air and what my children think of me and what they'll read about me on the internet. what my husband and my parents

nancy grace of hln. former colleague of mine at court tv.ve covered this case from the beginning. i just want to ask you, point blank, when you heard this verdict, what was your reaction? >> well, i've got to tell you, terry, i felt sick. and i still feel sick. because i believe -- i know, i don't believe it, i know it is a miscarriage of justice. we already have one of the prosecutors, ashton, retiring. we have the prosecution team so just sick at heart they couldn't even speak after the verdict. i love our system, terry. i believe in our system. when our system fails, as a victim's rights advocate and a crime victim myself, i take it very personally. >> have you got any sense of what went down in that juryroom? >> well, i do know this. i watched the jurors. they very rarely took notes. and i had to take reams of notes to keep up with the scientific evidence as it came in. they took notes for neither side, at all. in fact, one juror was observed twirling her pen around in front of her, around and around and around. you know, that's a proble

he asked her what she thought of nancy grace. >> i have no comment on nancy grace. it's not fit for television. >> so you do have thoughts, you're just not going to say them? >> they are negative and it's just -- there's no point in it. i think a lot of things she says just fuels the fire and they are based on nothing and i'm obviously against making decisions based on just speculation and opinions. >> what do you make of this? as you know, you've caught some har poons in the last 24, 48 hours. >> well, how many clips, critics against me are you going to show and how does that advance the story that caylee was murdered and found wrothing in a swampy field. but whatever? what do i think about the juror disliking me or what do i have to say? i didn't enter into this to win a popularity contest, john. i don't think i'm going to go home crown miss speet potato. when you take a stand and expect criticism, you can expect being skofed at, ridiculed, being made fun of. but i recall back in 1979 when my fiancee was murdered that changed my life. forever. from that point on i

i don't know nancy grace, i didn't host her baby shower, i'm sure i would like her as a person, but i think she's wrong. >> i'm not arguing -- >> she influenced the outcome. in the case with the african-american woman. that was a public defender and three-day trial. do you think that jurors sitting in that jury box don't have for a month, wasn't it or three weeks, don't have some sort of relationship with the woman who's sitting in that jury? isn't there something to the woman who's sitting there as a defendant, isn't there something to playing this so big there's an influence? >> here is what i see as the problem, diane. do i think that casey anthony is probably guilty? yes, i do, like most people in america, frankly, but it's one thing for legal pundits to say she seems guilty, look at this, look at that, and it's another thing for the prosecution to go into court and prove the case. that's where i think a lot of the legal lowe mouths lost sight of. you still have to convince a jury that you have a case. >> but again we label soup cans in this country, but don't label the people who

let's bring in dan abrams and nancy grace once again.o happen tomorrow morning, 9:00. the sentencing phase. she could have got up to four years for the false statements but she's served months for ha. >> each sentence carries a one-year sentence. each charge of lying to police. altogether consecutively that four year, she's already done three, 966 days as i recall, something like that so she's set to walk out and she will walk out either tomorrow at 9:00 or today. >> today? >> yeah, look, as far as the law is concerned, she's been serving time for a crime she didn't commit. she's been being held on a crime that a jury has now acquitted her for so now you have these four misdemeanor charges of up to a year each. remember, in most cases we'd say up to a year? she's not going to get a year. so i think it's very likely that this judge is going to look at everything and say she walks free tomorrow. >> let's talk about the family a little bit. we talked to george and cindy's lawyer in our first hour. he said they were surprised by the verdict.

we are now joined by nancy grace, the host of "nancy grace" on hln joining us on orlando and abc's legallyst dan abrams here in new york. dan, i'd like to start with you. what are the chances we'll see casey anthony walking out of that jail today? >> i think they're pretty good. she's facing four first degree misdemeanor counts. each of which faces up to a year in prison. she's already served almost three years, so even if -- >> the harsh circumstances, isolation 23 hours a day. >> even though that probably wouldn't factor into the judge's decision, the length of time, but when you're talking about someone who's already served almost three years for crimes where the maximum even if the judge were to put them together would be up to four years and that would be very unlikely that any judge would give the max, although it's possible. it is possible this judge is going to say, not only is she going to get the max but i'm going to force her to serve them consecutive meaning one sentence after another after another which would lead to a four-year sentence and could serve more time. >> we hear

listen to the take of hln ae lh nancy grace. we had a conversation earlier today.saying that, you know we focus a lot on the testimony and passionate opening and closing arguments. she thinks jury selection was critical. lynn to this. >> i will tell you where the defense made its best move, in jury selection. they put some people on the jury, john, that claim specifically juror number four she could not judge other people. the state tried to kick her off, and the judge wouldn't let them. if they win a victory at all, it won't be their expertise in the courtroom putting on the case. it will be the happenstance of a couple of jurors that made it on that jury. >> do you agree with that take? >> no, i don't. i'm sorry. this concerns me greatly because this is what i do for a living. i cover trials. i believe what happened in that courtroom, john, was that the defense threw so much spaghetti against the wall. it was the meter reader and the dad, he touched her and so did the brother. in the end it was easier for this panel to say, oh, well, i have some reasonable doubt.

"if those searches were made, i made them." she was asked directly, specifically, about the day the deadly computer searches were made how to make chloroform, to break necks, ruptured spleen. turning household items into weapons. they gave her precise minutes the searches were made. she says under oa
