nancy reagan embraced it. her detail was so loyal to her and so good here there's a great story about her lead agents never talked to anybody. he sent me copies of the notes they've exchanged that day at the hospital. he went into the chapel and he handed her his handkerchief. and he said to her, there's nothing we can do now but pray. she wrote him a note back when she sent back the laundered handkerchiefs and so we shared that with me and i put that in the book as well. normally the secret service agents rotate as they don't want them to be calm complacent in their assignment and too comfortable with it. george was there the day job for six years. he had to go into the oval office and the president. he goes then and they tell them the secret service is transferring him off of nancy's detail, but he, george is the one who has to tell her. even the head of the secret service is afraid to tell nancy he was taking her favorite agent away. >> that have been all the way until the day she died people were transferr
