and thank you for joining us good afternoon, everyone, my name is naomi kelly and i'm the city add straightbe. thank you for joining us here at the marine memorial. i'm pleased to share the summary of recommendations from the tall building's safety strategy. this was a report that was commissioned by our late mayor edwin lee. who asked myself and the director of the department of the emergency management to work with outside consultants to help us preview our existing tall buildings in san francisco. copies of the summary and the recommendations and summaries are available here and will be postponed online at one san francisco.org/resilience/sf. it's a pioneering effort by the city of san francisco is the first of its kind in this nation. and it represents 14 months of city wide collaboration with the san francisco tall building stock. having this information available is a huge step forward and our ability to think collectively and proactively as a city about the seismic safety and the resilience of our tall buildings in the implications of their surround be neighborhoods. here today, we h

. >> my name is naomi kelly the single-story for the 775 i started with the city and county in 1996 working for the newly elected mayor willie brown, jr. not only the chief of staff a woman but many policy advisors that were advising him everyday their supportive and nourished and sponsored united states and excited about the future. >> my name is is jack listen and the executive director of a phil randolph institution our goal to have two pathways to sustaining a family here in san francisco and your union jobs are stroen to do that i have this huge way to work with the community members and i think i found my calling i started in 1996 working for willie brown, jr. i worked in he's mayor's office of housing in the western edition and left 3 years went to law school of san francisco state university and mayor brown asked me to be the director of the taxicab commission and through the process i very much card by the contracting process and asked me townhouse the city purchaser and worked with me and i became the deputy administrator and . >> having trouble struggling to make ends meet folks

as the chief mentioned, we did speak with city administrator naomi kelly today, and in terms of the size that is in -- the size of the facility, combined facility 19th and fulsome and treasure island. that does not include driver training which we do on the streets in treasure island which we will lose. that could be another need that we would have. also, with the training facility in terms of in my opinion it would be an honor if our facility were a regional training facility and that other departments did come and use it and did look to us. we would absolutely prioritize our needs first. it would be an honor to be seen as a regional training facility for others to look to, state-of-the-art. the employment facility has been turned over to the contractor on october 22. we turned it over to them. i know that we will be doing a groundbreaking november 28th for that facility. the budget for the facility is $30.4 million. it is scheduled to open in late 2020. 2020 station. we work with public works. the fuel system is moving forward. i will show you a photo. this is in front of station 16. t
