so far napa .3" of rain. i have to tell you, they are going to see a lot more within the next half-hour. if you are driving this morning, your commute finds you on highway 29 right there through napa. driving towards highway 12. that's some pretty moderate to hev. same along 121 all the way in towards sonoma. that is going to take you through some heavy downpours at this particular time. if you have the luxury of waiting about 30 minutes until that cell passes the bay area, that would be highly advisable. so a scattered light rain shower up until about 9:00 this morning then all would taper off. this system has so much power associated with it, it's caused a beach hazard statement to be issued by the national weather service. swells up to 13 feet expected today through tomorrow afternoon so please be mindful of that if you go out for that thanksgiving stroll on the beach. sneaker waves are possible. in addition to that, if you are traveling to the high sierra, we have a winter weather advisory in place easily
