today, lake county, napa county, maybe solano could be in the picture again. we will show you that coming up shortly. yesterday also in the sierra scattered showers, high elevation snow showers so give this credit for the end of april and you can see some of those coming down out of the north, northern sacramento valley. we will get partly cloudy, little system -- the main core system has moved off, a reinforcement coming down right there and that will give us a day where we start off with maybe some partly sunny skies and end up partly cloudy. 53 fremont, 53 sfo, 46 sunnyvale, 37 kelseyville, 39 american canyon, 43 occidental, so there are some cool temperatures. northwest at 25 out at half moon bay so a decent breeze along the coast. we will get some of the cloud cover zipping through. you can see a system there so look for a possibility again of maybe a few showers might pop up but the cloud cover will keep a lot of these temperatures below average here, so after midweek things look good. partly cloudy again, possibility of showers developing north and east

so we have another really strong cell right around the napa airport in between american canyon, napa,ighway 12 some of that just north of cordelia, that is one system. on the peninsula now portola valley and woodside into redwood city is coming in with la honda headed toward los altos menlo park and coming in full board from the santa cruz coast into the santa cruz mountains. that is near the radar site but it is lighting up and it is all associated with the cold core coming rotating in. this is a very dynamic system producing a lot of lightning and hail. this will continue through the day. we don't even have any heat yet even though temperatures are cool we will get some afternoon heating. some reports of snow in mendocino county into lake county likely warming up a little bit and then coming back into snow later tonight. 40s and 50s so we are quite cool with a good breeze at san carlos gusting up to 22 miles per hour. a blustery cool day with off and on rain then we have some sun breaks with another downpour and it is another cold system. initial cells are popping up and then they c

santa rosa over one inch and napa at 3/4 inch. some other areas are getting okay rain. could be isolated eight inches amounts or more. the areas where we have lifted we are getting the rain rates picking up tomorrow night and tomorrow. sfo as a projection between this morning and noon at over three inches. they have already had 2/3 inches. so the real concerns are not the russian river. it is the burn areas. that is why the flash flood watches are out. from the mendocino county into lake county it is raining to beat the band. mendocino county and lake county that is the main focus. cloverdale to the north but even the russian river to the north. it hasn't let up a little bit but it is not over it is just lifting and you can see things have letup in the santa cruz mountains so you will be getting a break tonight and tomorrow in the santa clara valley but the plume is moving northward and it is stalling out. it is going to move north and then swing inward and then everyone else gets more rain. most temperatures are near 60 so we have the strong warm air mass with the sout

. >>> napa police are investigating a woman's death after a body was discovered on an elementary school campus. the unidentified woman found yesterday afternoon on the campus of irene snow elementary school on foster road in napa. police say no threat to public safety. they are working to uncover the circumstances surrounding the woman's death but napa valley unified school district administrators told police the school was not open at any time yesterday but they will be open for class today. >>> the chp is investigating a crash on interstate 880 in oakland. it ended with the death of a driver. it happened just after 6:30 last night, just south of seventh street. the chp says a car crashed into a big rig, then the driver of the car got out, ran across several lanes and jumped off the overpass. that person died at the scene. it's not clear why the person jumped. >>> time now 404. the chp says they don't believe a chp officer who witnessed a shooting on interstate 580 saturday in richmond was targeted. about 7:00 p.m. on saturday the officers saw someone in a white suv fire several shots.
