and it's burning very close to downtown napa.hank so much for joining us here on kron. 4 news at 03:00am ella sogomonian. we do want to show you a map of where these evacuations are being ordered. the fire is burning on coombs ville road less than a mile and a half east of the oxbow public market. the mandatory evacuations are happening north of comes ville road into the monte vista area. so everyone in that area that is indicated by the red color on the map needs to leave immediately. the yellow area between coombs ville road first avenue and palm drive indicates an evacuation warning, meaning people there should be ready to go at a moment's notice. so pack your things, if you can and get ready. here's a live look now at the fire from the same pg and e camera again, it broke out shortly after 2 o'clock this afternoon and burned about 15 acres so far. so we do want to go to meteorologist kyla grogan because she's tracking the weather conditions out there. cuyler. how's it looking at? can we expect the weather to help in this fire

a lot of that dry brush in and around the napa area that fire the east parts of napa. but in that area, it's surrounded by a lot of brush, a lot of trees. they're making that a very dangerous place for fire to break out that someone got to worry about on these long the summer months ahead outside. right now, you've got low clouds and fog moving in along the pretty cool day. pretty chill out there. the beach temperatures hovering in the 50's now. well, the clouds rolling right through the golden gate bridge making their way inside the bay already bouncing up against the east bay hills and temperature wise. we've got some 70's well inland 60's, a few 70's around the bay cooler 50's 60's on the coastline. but much cooler weather is on the way. thank you, lawrence. almost 5 pounds of fentanyl and meth were seized in san francisco. >> sfp d's tenderloin station says officers they're arrested. 3 suspects during a drug bust on market and 7th streets. this picture was shared by police that shows several bags of meth and fentanyl apparent apparently packaged to be sold accounts

have a vineyard in town and they run napa, if you remember.onths don't worry we got it. lived by royalty while nancy was top dog ignoring the struggle of the neighbors. the workers who cleaned up the northern 2020 wildfires. flames raged for 23 straight days in california, burning 70,000 acres across nap that and sonoma counties. it wasn't just vineyards that got cooked. the county's landfill reportedly went up in smoke. with workers at clover flat landfill saying they were exposed to methane gas and a contaminated water supply during the cleanup. a 15-man crew worked 12 hours a day to clean hazardous materials with nothing more than a mask. and when the workers spoke up, they got fired. and now these same workers are about to file a $300 million class action lawsuit. the former napa county mayor had been begging nancy pelosi to clean this place up for years. she didn't care. she didn't do anything now these workers are sick. her wine remains spectacular. mayor jeff ellsworth joins me now along with gary hernandez, one of the complainants. may

it started just before 3 today on kuz ville road east of downtown napa. couple miles from oxbow public market. nobody was hurt and no homes were damaged. but for a while this afternoon put a lot of people on edge. i jumped on my tractor and started cut and a bit more of a break. just a little bit extra that was going too fast. ever scared. i wouldn't say scared at the state level of anxiety but, was napa county fire and city fire. really good. so they were here within a couple minutes. firefighters also evacuated silverado middle school where a summer camp was in session about 30 children were moved out of the area. firefighters are still looking into how the fire started. chief meteorologist lawrence karnow tracking the weather conditions tonight marks dangerous fire conditions there this afternoon just because of all the wind that was kicking up and of course, things have dried out. we have that heat wave over the weekend and then we get the winds kicking up and you get a fire started very dangerous. you see some of those gusts over 20 miles an hour and

napa has a history of fires. naturally napa fire department and residents were nervous about this one. we spoke to a neighbor who said it came just about 100 feet from his home. >> as soon as i saw the flames i jumped on the tractor and dialed 911. i was talking to dispatch and they were here within a couple minutes . >> the fire broke out yesterday afternoon and forced about 30 families to evacuate from their homes . nappa fire has not said what sparked those flames . >>> two people are in critical condition after being shot during a large gathering in hayward. six others were injured when shots rang out after 10:00 p.m. tuesday on ranker place . police said it started with several people fighting before shots were fired. one of the suspected shooter's was injured and is in custody. >>> a sacramento man is in custody in connection to a stabbing at a soccer match at levi's stadium. alejandro garcia-villanueva is charged with attempted murder. investigators say witnesses to the attack over the weekend were crucial

you are told to go to the napa unification center on third street in napa . this is from earlier this afternoon , from the pg&e wildfire alert camera in napa county . you can see how quickly this fire group and how smoky it was when it initially broke out at 2:00 p.m.. this is from our chopper where you see a large stretch of grass charred from the flames and fire burning close to some of those homes. we see the firefighters mopping up around the home, protecting it. part of the fire made it over a nearby fence that they were able to stop it and here is a look at the scene from the ground with his still smoldering in the aftermath of the fire . we spoke with someone nearby when it broke out. >> i was on the job and i heard a bang, it was a firework, i saw smoke . it was small at first but got bigger and the wind started blowing it over the hill . >> firefighters will be on the scene throughout the evening to put out any hotspots that may reignite . those evacuations still in effect near silverado middle school from coombsville road north . we will watch this.

we want to start out in napa where the first wildfire of the season led to evacuations. it started at 2:00 p.m. near silverado middle school. we have more on what the witnesses saw and heard just ahead of the fire breaking out. >> reporter: the fire is now contained. evacuations were lifted. this fire did get close to structures including the middle school behind me and some of the houses here across the street. now, according to cal fire it says that the fire burned about 10-15 acres. evacuations were ordered north into this area and good news they stopped the spread before any homes were damaged. you can see what it looked like from above. this is what we saw from the chopper. you can see all of the grass charred by the flames. the fire got close to homes on the line there. we saw some crews mopping up by the part of the area by a fence. they were able to put it out before it damaged the home. here is what it looked like from the ground level. you can see there is still smoldering spots. we spoke to multiple people who were in the area at the time who said that they he
