i want to take you to napa. just watch napa itself over the last hour.notice how these storms are moving over the same area. that's called training. and unfortunately, that can lead to flooding. we are seeing that in parts of napa. a flood advisory is in effect because of these downpours that can drop a lot of rain in a short amount of time. snow is falling in the sierra. even some thunder, snow at times. still underneath the winter storm warning. we're expecting about 6 to 10 additional inches today. underneath that warning, it's a level two, a moderate storm. today we're underneath a flood. watch everybody for the potential of more areas of flooding throughout the afternoon, because everything is just so saturated. we've been underneath this wet pattern since saturday, and now with downpours in the forecast, that could lead to flooding. so here's future weather. we'll watch radar very closely throughout the middle part of the day and into the afternoon. you can see more downpours are developing and into the afternoon. it's likely the east bay and the s

that's basically santa rosa, western napa county. and those areas, they received immense amount of rainfall in that supercell or that very strong thunderstorm. pardon me. that severe thunderstorm. and so they have ground saturation for sure. so any more rain that falls is going to pool up on the roadways. so with that in mind we've got the wind advisory stays in effect as well. and then we've got a high surf advisory that continues out along the coast and in the mountains. a winter storm warning that is having them chain up on 50 and 80 as we go through the night and all day tomorrow, it's going to be on and off, so the mountains aren't going to get much of a break. this is when all said and done, the mountains are going to get a huge amount of snow easily 2 to 4ft between now and wednesday. not to count the foot and a half they've already gotten. so it's going to be a real producer for them when i come back. we'll line up tomorrow for you and get you going forward into the rest of the week. all right, bill, thank you. >> well, today

and some of these storms like we just had in napa up in napa county, 50 to 60 miles an hour. so and it's sea level. so the showers now are widely scattered. the heavy showers that severe thunderstorm warning. this is the area that produced that severe thunderstorm warning. and it's moving off in this direction. so you can see it came out of the santa rosa area yountville vacaville and has moved on, but not before it dropped a significant amount of rainfall. and really made it some tough driving with really high rainfall rates out by vacaville, we got some heavy showers. not i don't see any thundershowers in here, but you know, they're just winding down and tomorrow is going to look a little like this. now we're going to see you keep the umbrellas handy as kind of the key there. and we're going to see very similar to kind of what we had today, but with less oomph. in other words, the dynamics are going to be similar, except there's not going to be as much fuel and moisture. so we shouldn't see as much rain. we shouldn't see as many clouds. we should see more breaks. we'll see
