it could even begin to threaten some of the eastern areas of napa city. we're working very closely in conjunction with the napa city officials, both fire and police department, and those notifications will go out if and when those are necessary. but we are quite concerned about the fire burning up into the mount george area at this point, and further south into an area known as the avenues, further south and east of napa city. >> david, are you concerned about locations, like the silverado country club or some of the vineyards out there? . >> yes, absolutely. the fire has burned -- in fact, it's burned up north along silverado trail. the fire burned down the hillside towards the vineyards, some spotting through the vineyards, all the way over to silverado trail, in and around some of the large wineries that are scattered around silverado trail there, and i'm not aware of any wineries specifically that have been damaged, but we do know quite a few homes in those areas have been affected, and we've just been trying to get people out safely at this point. >>

large parts of sonoma and napa counties and the city of santa rosa have been hit.

city of santa rosa. it is burning in both napa and sonoma counties. this fire has burned nearly 45-thousand acres but it is now 60% contained this morning. ( james ) and the nuns fire which has now combined with 4 other fires has now burned more than 48-thousand acres. that fire is burning off highway 12 near glen ellen. this morning it is now 40-percent contained. ( james ) and there is the atlas fire burning in napa and solano counties. this is the fire burning just south of lake berryessa. it has now burned more than 51-thousand acres but it is now 65% contained. fire fighters say that favorable weather conditions over the weekend aided firefighters. ( darya ) then there is the pocket fire burning near gyserville... that fire has now burned nearly 12-thousand acres. it is 30% contained this morning.
