so sonoma balloon adventures is actually run by balloon pacific, which also operates napa valley balloons. back in may of 2016, some passengers on a robert wine tour who are in a balloon from napa valley balloons had to be picked up. excuse me, after they had to make an emergency landing on a levy somewhere near the napa river. >> katie nielsen, thank you. >>> chopper 5 spotted a crew working to retrieve the balloons starting around noon. first they had to tie up the deflated balloon and get it back to the spot where the basket had landed. then they carried it slowly across the marsh, holding a section of the material as they would move through the weed and water, heading for a boat they left floating in a small muddy inlet. once that was done, they went back to pick up several large propane tanks. the idea is to make the basket light enough to push it out of the area. they had to carry three separate tanks across the marsh from the balloon basket all the way to the boat. now the hard part came up when pushing that giant basket through the marsh, slow going as they made their way across.
