daytona 500 is known as the super bowl of nascar and people are ready for this race and nascar officialsthe crash happened. and we'll show you exactly where the french was breached and an engine went through the fence and a wheel flew up into the stands and people 20 rows up were injured from flying debris. and the fence has been completely repaired and in fact, likely a stronger fence because that's where there's a little opening and they have the openings where the fans come out on to the track before and after the race, well, that's where the crash so curd, so it's a bit of a weaker spot in the fence and now that opening has been closed so it's a bit of a stronger enforcement, if you will, than yesterday. so they feel good about that. and no delays for the race and happy there are no fatalities, obviously, but 33 injuries from the accident and a couple of those were serious, including one to a minor and everybody is now in stable condition and nobody has any life threatening injuries at this point. miraculously, no injuries or significant injuries from the driver, and kyle larson who'

nascar brought to a stand still at this hour.uring the nationwide race a short time ago, fans were on the feet cheering and suddenly a car sailed in the grandstand. >> tone stewart will win the race and a terrible crash on the finished . we are awaiting a news conference . we'll take it to you for now the car raced through the guard rail and pierced through the fence. that was kyle larson. it didn't end there. larson front car ripped away . fans saw all of this happening close up. they were scream jumping out of the way . you could see a tire sitting in one of the seats. we have pictures of tharks too. medical crews arriving to help. 11 people were hurt. some of them seriously injured. you can see the crews cleaning up the carnage off and on the we are waiting for that news conference. we'll monitor for new information . our chief meteorologist is at the international dayton speed way. rick, you would have covered a fun assign now breaking news and you other than not far away from the crash? >> i wasn't. when you look at the race

i'm a nascar fan. i've been to many, many in my life.dered it foreseeable for a car to come flying into the stands. that's something that the entities responsible have to see for their fans. >> we'll accept the back of the ticket. there's a warning. we're going to show folks the warning right now. let's look at the ticket. it's a waiver on the back of the sporting event tickets warning about possible injury to fans. it says, quote, the holder of this ticket expressly assumes all risk incident to the event. if you go to the baseball game and get hit by a foul ball, you don't sue because on the bath of a baseball ticket it says the same thing. if you sit in the stands, you assume risk and you really can't sue. so what exactly are you asking for. >> well, carol, that's called an adhesion term. either the judge is going to enforce that contract or declare it unenforceable. there'll be arguments to both sides. as you reported earlier, we're going to attempt to resolve this before it gets to a judge. >> you are just asking for medical bills? i
