temperatures topping off in the 80's yesterday in places like nashua. cooler today but still quite humid and also on the warm side. but that's all beginning to change. notice the overcast skies at the coast and also in pittsburgh. if you look closely enough, you'll see the leaves beginning to change. we're getting closer to peak find in several parts of northern new hampshire. how about the rainfall tallies, six and a half inches in conway, hillsboro just under five inches of rain, new london statement story, jaffrey at three. plymouth, manchester and freemont just under three inches of rain. just a little below what we normally expect for an entire month of september. we needed a lot of that rain, flooding concerns were fairly minor. so good news all the way around in many spots. the dryer air nosing in right now, sticks around tonight through tomorrow night. we could see a couple of showers mainly in far southern new hampshire, as we go through friday and on saturday. and then we'll be watching hurricane joaquin, the computer models beginning to come

we had a great town hall meeting, over 300 people last night in nashua, new hampshire. incredibly strongly about. so we have got a number of things we're doing up here, my wife is with me and we're campaigning and meeting folks up here in new hampshire. >> so i'm just interested, governor, no one ever asks this question, but as you well know heroin, opioid addiction is a huge problem in rural america, particularly in the northeast. it's been devastating. why? what's the cause of that do you think? >> well, i think it's a number of things. the first thing is that, you know, the genesis of a lot of this is the abuse of prescription painkillers and what happens is people -- doctors are much too easily giving out in my view prescription painkillers, people get addicted to those prescription painkillers and those become either unavailable to them or much too expensive to get on the black market. heroin is significantly cheaper and people move right from that addiction to an addiction to heroin. so it's an enormous problem and heroin is cheap and available on the streets and
