officials in nashville say one person was killed and nine others were hurt during a shooting near the campus of tennessee state university. fox's brian yanez has the very latest on this investigation. >> ten people shot in what appears to not be gang violence that, according to the metro nashville police. the police says instead it was two groups of people, quote, beefing with one another. when one group began shooting at the other on opposite sides of the street. this all happened around 5 p.m. saturday, killing a 24 year old man. the victims included 212 year olds and a 14 year old. thankfully with non-critical injuries at least one of the victims had a gun and was involved in the shooting. five victims taken to the hospital by private vehicles. another five were taken by first responders. luckily, nashville fire department first responders were already staged nearby for a homecoming parade for tennessee state university earlier in the day. >> they quickly got into action. our personnel recounted to me some moments where they ripped off their belts and did things like use those as t

but a case like that would never be filed inld nashville, in tennessee. it would not be filed in a red state. i don't think. if that happens it is an issue. so i do think -- the premise behind a red flag law is people who are close to somebody know when that person is going to go off but a police person will not. they're too prompted that that. well, many problems with that. in this case the guy was over 18. something like this would not have mattered except there is a legal issue. the father was liable he should not go in the guns back. butik i would just say, i talk a lot about the idea of the mental health story of a mass shooter is that one day he just snapped. he has like a dog day afternoon or whatever. that was that he could not take any more of that one story like michael douglas he got out of his car in traffic and los angeles. when i talk about reality psychologists are poor judges of in summons when you shoot someone else in large part -- first snow mental illness shooting somebody else is a symptom of that illness. there is no predictive tool.
