[applause] >> by the way, natalie g., who is our chief of staff, and percy who is also one of our aids. that is an amazing team that we take to city hall. but this is a true story. a little over a decade ago now when i first got here, and i met tracy and i interviewed her on a panel as a community member for her job at the department of children and youth and families. i came over and we were having a conversation, this is about 11 years ago. she said, you will be the district ten supervisor. i'm not making this up. this is not a joke. she had no idea that i had written an essay that was public in high school. i said i wanted to effect change and be an elected official. she had no idea that i was already ready to come and plan to get together for my community and make sure we can be in a can in a position to make sure we could do what we could to represent us. she made that epiphany. she made that statement over 11 years ago, and she worked with me on both of my runs for the board of education. my run on the board of supervisors, and she called it. thank you so much for believing in me
