"eyewitness news" reporter steve patterson joins us along the turnpike in bensalem. he's got the very latest. steve. >> reporter: natasha police and officials tell me the driver in this case was pronounced dead at the scene. meanwhile as you mentioned four workers affected by this crash, four of them injured two of them sustained minor injuries, they were taken to the hospital treated and released and another two in that group sustained serious injuries. one of them had to undergo surgery this afternoon. we're checking back forup dates. in the meantime this comes just a month into a major safety campaign from the pennsylvania turnpike commission telling drivers to slow down especially when they are in these work zones. for hours the only traffic left on this busy stretch of the pennsylvania turnpike didn't even amount to one car. officials say it happene

justin. >> all right, good evening natasha.e do need some rain across the region but you don't want to see flash flood situations any time even if you're in that drought situation. showers and storms mainly across the far northwestern viewing area so northern lehigh valley, northern berks county, up into the poconos. that's where they're confined. into monday storms should start to move south and east. we're okay around philadelphia, south jersey and delaware but different story again just north of allentown into carbon and monroe county. you can see some strong to even severe thunderstorms. this one moving through schuylkill county right now so it will be heading towards the poconos probably in another half hour to an hour. they're slow moving so they have a lot of rainfall with it. you can see the lightning strikes. that's why we have a flash flood situation. storms moving only about 15 miles per hour so they're dropping rainfall rates anywhere from about one to 2 inches or so. so carbon, monroe county under a flash flood war

hey, justin that's right natasha.ot of people waiting for a consistent forecast like this with warm temperatures. it's a nice evening outside just a few clouds, nice breeze and humidity is low. this week we're talking mid june-like temperatures in the forecast. today really not bad. we made to it 80 degrees for the official high temperature at philadelphia international airport. that's 10 degrees above average so we should be right around 70 this time of year and we won't even be close to 70 degrees for the next few days. there are the highs all across the delaware valley. look at reading allentown 80's, mid 70's up in the mountains even down at the shore. at one point reached a low in mid 70's before that influence off the ocean began to kick in. shore temperatures right now mid 60's. inland upper 70's to low 80's. 78 in wilmington, 79 degrees in reading this hour. some of the suburbs kind of the same deal, 80 in palmyra new jersey, mount holly new jersey checks in at 78 degrees. all right. storm scan3 nice and quiet
