. >> harris: i want to go first to nate foye who has done a fabulous job this morning before, during and after the capture. nate, i'm asking about deportation right off the top here. i'm asking what we know about this guy and i know you have details. take us through it. >> harris, right now he is at an avondale station being questioned but he will go to a state prison facility. he will not go back to chester county prison where he escaped two thursdays ago. the big update today he was taken into custody by the state troopers as well as border patrol team and this all started at about midnight last night when the home alarm went off in what was the search perimeter. the home alarm went off and troopers were already in the area. they went to check it out and brought in the federal resources with the aviation units and picked up on thermal imaging at 1:00 a.m. an hour after the home alarm went off. cavalcante caught a lucky break and bad weather rolled in and had to pull the aviation units out. teams were able to track cavalcante and seven hours later at 8:00 a.m. this morning those tact

nate foye is tracking the story live from new york city. hi, nate, what can you tell us?not only is this man convicted of murdering his former girlfriend in front of her two kids. prosecutors say he did that because she found out about another murder that he was wanted for in brazil back in 2017. authorities warn anyone who sees this 34-year-old to stay away and call police. he is five feet tall, 120 pounds. but authorities say he is as dangerous as they come. >> they had deployed canine units, drones and helicopters in the manhunt. if you see him, do not approach him. you are asking please to contact 911. he is considered extremely dangerous. >> he escaped just before 9:00 a.m. yesterday and been oz the loose for 25 hours. the acting prison warden wouldn't immediately say how the convicted killer escaped. >> i'm not going to answer any questions as to how or why this occurred. that's under investigation. i want to insure the residents around us that when we found out we followed protocols. >> he is being hunted by local, state and federal authorities including the u.s. m

nate foye is about 30 miles west of philly now near a train tracks. do you think you have in chadds ford, pennsylvania, nate? >> pennsylvania state police believe they have cavalcante surrounded and right now you can see the state police have blocked off these railroad tracks. we're on the southern edge of the search area so if you look this way, bill, this is north, this is where the search is happening. we don't know how far down the railroad tracks. down that way we know troopers are looking through a train now to make sure that cavalcante is not on that train. troopers tell us they didn't have any sightings last night. tuesday night is the last known sighting that we know it has been communicated to the media. the video you played of cavalcante escaping from the prison an thursday. look at this. of note. the same way another prisoner escaped this same prison back in may except that prisoner was caught almost immediately. the warden explained a big reason why cavalcante got away. listen to this. >> the tower officer did not observe or report the es

nate foye is in westchester, pa to give us an update. >> we just got off the phone with pennsylvania state police. they confirm cavuto is out there now and the search very much active. you can see behind me authorities have shifted the search area a bit farther south because just north of here there was a two mile search radius where cavuto snuck past police and they learned that through these surveillance images from that nearby botanical garden you mentioned. he was seen twice within the same hour monday night. the last known public sightings that have been communicated with the media by state police. he picked up a backpack, a duffel bag as well as a sweatshirt. state police say they wish they could have held that perimeter. the movement might lead to his arrest. listen to this. >> i want to push him hard. he have will make mistakes. he will show himself. he have has already shown himself, we believe, a few times. we'll contain him and eventually catch him. he is desperate and does not want to be caught. very little to lose at this point. >> cavuto is extremely dangerous. he estab

back to nate foye. where are you and what have you heard from the locals with this now concluding? >> the locals are thrilled. they keep walking by. they are very excited. we see a lot of people honk their car horns, cheering law enforcement as they pull out of the search perimeter. definitely a sigh of relief. the manhunt is a story of attrition and a lot of luck on cavalcante's part that ran out. you think back to the original crab walk prison escape where the tower officer has been fired for failing to see or report that escape. keep in mind that happened on labor day weekend. a lot of people weren't in their homes and we know the pennsylvania state police are investigating at least two burglaries and know he has broken into homes. so perhaps that helped him get his supplies. then breaching that search perimeter south of here he finds the keys in the van at the dairy farm. that's a big break. he comes to where we are right now, a bit farther north about 20 miles and it was super hot. every single day temperatures in the mid 90s and you mentioned earlier how that possibly impacte

nate foye is in ken et square, pa where the manhunt enters the ninth day.some teams shifted west of long wood gardens this morning to check out the farmhouse you see behind me. we saw an intense police presence until an hour ago where since troopers have cleared out and no sign of cavalcante's capture. troopers and state and local and federal authorities using helicopters, drones, dogs, horses, hundreds of personnel on the ground to find this guy. the last known location where there is proof of his whereabouts was a botanical garden called longwood gardens. he has been seen here multiple times this week. the gardens are closed today. they closed early last night as well. it is the focus of the search perimeter which now is between 8 and 10 square miles. >> i believe he becomes more desperate. i believe he has always been very dangerous. i have said that from the start. he has already murdered two people. one in brazil and one here in a brutal manner. he is a very dangerous individual and he remains so. >> so authorities think the heat and lack of food are w

nate foye is outside the courthouse. charleston, south carolina.h's lawyers are in federal court trying to convince the judge to accept a plea deal where murdaugh admits to stealing millions of dollars from his former clients. moments ago in court he said he wants to take responsibility, he wants his only surviving son, buster, to see him take responsibility, and he wants the healing process to begin for his victims. but notably as part of this plea agreement, he will have to take a lie detector test which could reveal a lot of information not only about the murders of his wife and son. take a look at this video as murdaugh arrived at federal court at 9:00 a.m. if federal agents catch him lying about anything during the polygraph test the deal is null and void. they will ask him about a lot more than the murders. >> he will be asked about murder. he have will be asked about drug purchases, drug funding, the 2.2 million of cashiers checks he gave to cousin eddie. any other attorneys that assisted you in facilitating the theft of client funds. >> bil
