now, toys "r" us and other retailingers now there are pro craft naters out there who need to shop. according to the national retail federation, the reason people are waiting, they're trying to figure out what to buy and weighing their chases. some are waiting for the best deals. the average consumer is expected to spend $805 on holiday merchandise. that's a slight increase from last year. we spoke to a customer who hold us she was grateful for the extended hours. here's why she waited so long. >>> i work graveyard. it makes easier to come out and shop. we're still awake for a bit. >>> coals stores are offering extended hours. they're open until christmas eve. besides in store shopping, people are buying online. amazon is still offering one day shipping, same day shipping and prime customers can order on christmas eve by 9:00 p.m. and get their gift delivered in two hours. so there is still time and a lot of options out there. >>> the commercial crab season is about to begin in the pacific northwest. it is expected to start in oregon and washington on january 4th after being delayed
