so, donald has read your book and said you placed the hanging of nathan hale, the background of the fire? can you elaborate more on hale? yeah. so a lot of people hale with the fire because was hanged the day after the fire on september 22nd, 1776, basically up road from from new york city. and so there is speculation that did they hang him because he was a saboteur and they accused him of having participated in the burning. but historians, i think, have concluded that he hadn't made it all the way to new york city, and so he couldn't have been involved in the fire. there was one historian somebody who used to be the civil war veteran, who used to be the curator of morris trammel mansion in upper manhattan? he wrote a book called called the -- mill mansion in the early of the 20th century, where he says that nathan was the new england captain, mentioned in in loyalist newspapers who had been caught and killed for having set new york city on fire. i don't that that's true. i don't think nathan hale involved in burning the fire. some historians have speculated, well, maybe he wasn't direct
