shares his ideas in the new book "nathan turner's american style, classic design and effortlessere. >> it's wonderful to be here. >> it's a great book. love it. >> thank you. >> let's talk first about creating a dining room setting that's very easy and won't cost you a lot of money, very elegant as well. how did you get started? >> this came about and a lot of people can relate. i ran out of money. a dining table is too important a piece to really throw any old thing into the room that can make or break it. so i took a caterer's table, a big thick folding table, really inexpensive. find them at thrift stores even. >> right. >> see that? >> yeah. >> and i had a custom drape made. >> probably the most expensive piece on this, but i used a really inexpensive fabric and like me the thing would be destroyed with stains and everything else on it, i put a glass top on it so then all you have to do is wipe it down. the fun thing about that is you can layer underneath it. i did these little place mats. >> they look like paper mats. >> exactly. >> it's left over wallpaper. >> oh. >> and y
