this year the national basketball association is doing its part. they say they've decided not to play any games on election day. so their employees and fans can spend the day focused on democracy rather than basketball. i applaud the nba for making this move, though i am seriously holding them accountable on other moves and want to see the make. i hope that other corporations will follow suit, but it should not be up to private enterprises to defend our sacred right to vote. it's time for the government to make election day a holiday. there shouldn't be anything -- making it easier for anyone to go to vote. right now many americans have to make difficult decisions about work and childcare just to get to the polls. and the situation becomes even more complicated in areas where the number of polling places have been reduced. resulting in long lines and wait times. making election day and national holiday should be something both sides can agree on. i personally see no problem with mail-in absentee voting. many trump supporters have claimed they are m
