hello, everybody, and welcome to the national governor association. we are so thrilled you had records of participation of 48 governors now participated in some part of the national governors association event yesterday and today. i would add the denominators is 55 and not 50. this includes of course, the territories of the wonderful governors. you know we know as governors, we are problem solvers. there is no democratic or republican way to fix a pothole. each of our state has unique assets and unique challenges. we know there are some shared challenges that we face together whether it is improving our public safety or improving our roads or process so we can build our powerful and come peming prosperous future. each governor is well aware of what they need to do to move our state forward and the importance of collaboration with one another as well as the federal government to make the lives of our citizens even better. as chair of the bipartisan national governors association, i am proud to lead on student success on how we can better measure outcome
