now the national transportation safety board will take custody of the capsized boat. the duck board sank after a thunderstorm last thursday killing 17 people aboard. it took this long to get the boat because officials had to amass the necessary equipment. now we're learning several of the 14 survivors made it to safety by climbing aboard a nearby excursion boat. one survivor says they were told about life jackets..but the captain said they would not need them. (grant) the company that owns the duck boat-- is stepping up to help the victims.
