peter navarro will talk bullish about the stock market being inside the white house he also called for 25,000 on the dow when nobody thought it was possible when trump was elected. one thing that is a mistake about the federal reserve, every time in the last ten years the fed has been accommodative, this has helped the stock market pop immediately. the problem is each one of those times has been a qe, a quantitative easing move, which has added liquidity to the system immediately and the fed, p has not lowered rates since 2008 it doesn't have an immediate impact on the economy or on the markets. people relying on the fed to juice the market after it already had a big run is a mistake. don't get me run, fed accommodation hopefully will buoy the market. when it's rate cuts rather than qe, it doesn't have the direct impact people are relying on >> if you think investors are putting the cart before the horse where fed cuts are concerned, how are you feeling about earnings season? >> that's going to be the big thing. right now people are talking about if you're relying on the fed, you're re

we did hear from peter navarro, saying this is not really a trade war.of a legitimate dispute. the story the numbers towel our policies are not working right now. we had a data dump showing the trade deficit has increased. if you look at this terminal chart, they miss forecast and thaneficit widened by more forecast. goods trader, the gap widened. with imports and exports surging. this does potentially reflect companies rushing shipments. many economists dispute trump pot fundamental view that the deficit points to a weak u.s. economy or as a result of trade agreements. many argue it is the result of underlying american economic factors. like tariffs are not going to reverse these numbers. all right, thank you very much. president expressed optimism, he took a swipe at china and europe. u.s. should match them. let's bring in our strategist. the president is upset. he has been for a while. does he have a point? the longhe does in run. we have written over a very long time, currencies are a bit of a zero-sum game. so far, markets not having a big reaction.

navarro, thanks very hutch for joining. let's start with those job numbers, certainly good numbers. 225,000, above expectations particularly after a slow may. in your view does that take away the case for the fed to cut interest rates? >> i love the fact 17,000 of those were manufacturing, and like 6 million jobs to date, one of the things that i love is that we're getting people back into the labor force. we've got over a million now workers in prime age back into the work force, labor force with participation rates going up. yesterday the parade i was at, well, everyone was watching these incredible planes and tanks and everything like that. what i saw was jobs. and one of the reasons why we're having this great job creation is how the president has gone about hitting the jobs issue on multiple vectors. i was personally responsible for getting things in, and we're guildin' building those in greenville, south carolina. >> do you need to cut rates in the midst of an economic boom. >> let's talk about what the fed has done a
