yes i would just say that it's navigating in this world is i'm black and transgender i want navigate the world folks see me as a black man i don't believe that it's. there will be any sort of role radical change around police and the relations of the black community i do not believe at this point really that evidence shows that reforms in the police department actually change police culture and also really here in the united states we really don't have a paradigm of what does that look like to actually now live in a racist capitalist society we don't have that paradigm right now and so not having that makes it very challenging for me to believe that we have the ability to move to something that looks like that. i agree i certainly want to be optimistic i think we should keep fighting we should keep demanding changes but i do agree with damon and philip that it's unlikely that this will be the the last time we have these kinds of conversations we keep coming back to the same place over and over again and i think what history has certainly taught us is that ultimately american policing
