parts of the bay area soaring too rare triple digits we have team covered this afternoon with maureen naylor following how community members are making sure those at risk are being taken care of during the heatwave. >> but we begin with cristina rendon own in vallejo where crews are working to save a number of homes in the area. >> we just received word from the city they sent out an official to give us an update the fire is 70% contained right now. fire crews are up here at the corner of lookout and bay cove i'm sorry glencoe parkway. fire crews are up the hill monitoring the hotspots of the fire and all of the homes along the edge of the hillside. this fire started from a car that went through the toll plaza off of the carquinez bridge and pulled over on eastbound 80 somehow the fire spread to the hillside and then the flames went up the hill threatening homes on papers to drive at this point firefighters tell us they do have about four homes that were impacted so the flames either reached the back of the fence line or the back of the house itself but the good news is no homes burned down.
