nbc bay area responds, next. >>> nbc bay area responds to a peninsula family whose door dash account suddenly spiked. >> they asked chris chmura to step in when thousands of dollars of unexpected charges appeared. i use door dash. this isn't me, >> i hopebout morgan and rushton. they have this deal with door dash. they live here, and yet all of a sudden door dash started charging their credit card for dozens of food deliveries around cleveland. and look at those amounts right there. over and over and over again. in all, it added up to 59 different orders in 14 days, a total of $4558.36 in unauthorized charges. morgan and rushton say they reported the hack to door dash and the company said it was investigating. but the charges continued multiple times a day. so they wrote us. we contacted door dash, and the very same day, morgan and rushton say they got an e-mail from door dash saying, well, they apologized first, and they were going to reverse the $4,500 in charges. they also froze the account so those unauthorized orders would finally stop. door dash sent us a statement that said, t

in many san jose, ian cole, nbc bay area news. >> thank you. to the east bay, a wild chase resulted in the lock down of hilltop maul after police tried to pull over a car earlier this evening. that car never stopped setting off the chase that ended up at the mall in the parking lot. the suspects ran from that car into the hilltop mall right there in the center. the mall was put on lockdown for about 90 minutes. >> they put the dogs on them. and they were fortunate to live. apparently they had guns on them and got to get their stuff together. >> three people were arrested. police are searching for a fourth person. nobody inside if the maul was hurt. but yes, two loaded for a high gh hool. they were on an off campus walking trail during their lunch break. investigators sa approached them and demanded their shoes, money, jewelry and phones. the school was then placed on lockdown for more than an hour. parents were alerted by texts. police were able to track down the men who were arrested off campus. no one was seriously injured. >> devastated by th
