we were expecting congressman richard neal, the chairman of the ways and means, we were expecting him to announce some sort of next steps today in terms of how he was going to try to force treasury and the irs to comply with this legal request. we weren't, though, necessarily expecting a subpoena. at least i wasn't necessarily expecting a subpoena. my expectation and i think some other peoples expectation was that chairman neal might skip the subpoena and head straight to federal court.
