so much developments that those of how don't know about china basin that's down near at&t park. it's near lot a parking lot where some people would like to see the warriors build their to arena. construction has road? ed in that area. there's a lot of something that's oily and tar-based and they are up on the roof or the fire is burning up to the room. construction has exploded in that area. can't tell if this is a commercial area or housing. a lot of housing being built in china basin now. >> you can see the scaffolding on the side of the building. this fire just increased to a three-alarm fire. it appears crews are attacking it from the bottom with massive fire hoses trying to get a handle on the blaze now creating this huge big black plume of smoke. obviously, as you said, burning some sort of chemical or nonorganic material. >> now as you can see as chopper 5 widens out that smoke is billowing out of the other side of the building out of windows that haven't been installed. but again, to give you some idea of where china basin is, if you can just think of where at&t ballpark

this all came down at 9:39 last night here on the 5,000 block of eppling lane. that's in south san jose near blossom hill and 101. the person who called 911 said there was a man down possibly dead here at the home and that's what officers found. there was no sign of forced entry. the victim was in his 20s and he had a right to be at house. however they didn't say whether he was a resident or just visiting. there was no call prior to this. so whoever called 911 knew the man but we don't know exactly how he knew the man. whether he was a friend or a relative. but the man has been taken awe by the coroner and we have seen technicians remove boxes of evidence sealed in envelopes and also a computer was taken away from the residence. and here is the other interesting thing. they found potted marijuana plants inside. san jose police did not describe it as a grow house. but they said that there were quote more than several potted planted inside the house. -- plants inside the house. we'll likely have that number later on as we get employer information about the -- more information about the investi
