[ speaking a foreign language ] >> thank you, and good evening to everybody. i'm glad to have this opportunity to meet the people in the atlantic council. i do appreciate the fact that you do care about what's going on in my country. because i'm aware that not only in russia, but in the world and i really would like that my country, russia, would be a part of the world community. recently we had parliamentary elections in russia which is called united russia gained a majority of the votes. it would take a separate topic and a separate debate about why did it happen. but right now i'd like to talk about what is united russia about. this is my report which i would like to present to you. it is translated into english. and i would like to express my particular gratitude to the free russia foundation for producing this english version. the title of this report is criminal par -- party of criminal russia and the title reflects the essence of this pol
