kpix 5's netta on the raccoon rescue. >> reporter: as the sunset in st. paul tuesday, this raccoon settled into its new home 20 floors above street level. >> it's hard to not have the little guy capture your attention and heart. >> reporter: the furry critter scaled the building tuesday after being scared by building workers who were there trying to help it off an overhang. >> the maintenance staff ca out and pushed them up to the raccoon thinking he would run down the boards and escape. >> reporter: instead, the raccoon fled upwards. onlookers watched from below and inside the building. before long, the animal was gaining celebrity status far beyond the twin cities. we're happy to report the little fur ball climbed up, took the bait and is now safe and sound. >>> big crowds expected in yosemite this weekend to see massive trees. they've been off limits for the last few years. the mariposa grove of giant red woods open tomorrow. following a three-year $40 million restoration project. there's a new visitor's center. at the southern entrance of the park. >>
