the sierra nevada, we're seeing heavy snow returning up there. this is one of the last low elevation snow falls we're seeing in the sierra before a warmer system will be reintroducing some rainfall into the snowy slopes and resulting in a lot of melt occurring and a risk of flooding. the bay area, the area quieting things down. now we've got a couple of snow flurries remaining around mount hamilton. a few light sprinkles around milpitas low-pressure area still centered up with us. we're still in this cooler air mass, but on our doorstep, a much warmer air mass and atmospheric river. that's funneling this moisture plume right to the bay area. a big warmup comes along with it. that means snow level retreating to ever higher elevations and those lower elevation feet of snow that we had been seeing melting off along with the multiple inches of rainfall coming along with it, posing the risk of flooding. today, though, we're just taking a breather. before we get there, a good chance to get outside. do some storm preps if you need to just enjoy maybe ge
